UAD 3.6 Training
The League was glad to host one of the first trainings about UAD 3.6 last month — the new appraisal report coming out this fall. Mandatory for all new appraisals after November 2, this change will bring significant updates to the residential appraisal process. We welcomed two fabulous speakers to our sold-out crowd at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club on March 19:
- Dean Huynh, President at The Property Sciences Group AMC
- Walt Boney, President at Lender's 1st Choice AMC
These professionals covered specific changes coming to the residential appraisal report and discussed the short-term impact to appraisal market service levels this fall and winter — from longer turnaround times to software challenges and shifting workforce dynamics. Managing expectations will be key as we navigate what will ultimately be a positive change for the industry.
We were also fortunate to have Valerie Saunders, Chief Executive Strategist from NAMB, provide updates on the latest Executive Order around housing.
